Countertop Process

1. Receiving An Estimate

Simply bring in a hand drawing or detailed plan of your project for a preliminary quote. Please remember to include your name, address and phone number. Final price will be provided after we measure your project and have resolved any outstanding issues.

We follow the following steps when quoting a cost:

  • On-site Measurement and Templating
  • Material
  • Edge Profile
  • 4″ Backsplash or Full Backsplash
  • Cut-Outs, such as Polished Under Mount Sink Cut-Outs
  • Hang Sink to the stone (under mount)
  • Fabrication & Installation

Please click here for an Estimate Request Form. You can simply fill and submit it to us.

2. Selecting The Material

After receiving the estimate, we invite you to personally select your slab from our indoors warehouse that carries wide selection of colors and patterns. This way you can see full slabs, rather than the tiny samples you’d see in home improvement centers. You are welcome to bring in paint chips, fabric swatches, flooring and cabinet samples to assist you in choosing your stone. Please do not forget to be cautious when walking around in the slab yard. Most importantly, for your safety please do not attempt to move slabs for viewing.

Please note that we do not have a specific individual slab in our slab-yard, but we have slabs from a specific lot or block of stone. We operate this way, so that the front slab represents the nature and characteristics of the entire bundle of slabs behind it. You might think about them like bread slices that each slab is cut from a large block and packaged in bundles. This way you do not need to worry about the nature and characteristic of any additional slab that you might need for your project.

3. Measurement Process

A template is an exact, full-size pattern of your kitchen or bath counters, clearly showing seams, cutouts, edges, backsplashes, radius, faucet holes, etc. All estimates needs to be evaluated with an on-site measurement. Final cost of a project is determined after our Measurement/Template team visits the site and takes the measurement or prepares the template. Please make sure that you give all the necessary details to our Template Team to avoid any inconvenience. We require a 50% deposit before any on-site measurement.

Please note that templating/measuring takes place once cabinets or framing materials such as a farm sink, are fully installed, leveled and permanently in place. Someone of authority (homeowner, designer, or contractor) must review & sign all templates before cutting will begin.  All deposits are non-refundable once fabrication begins.

4. Fabrication Process

Fabrication can begin once all templates have been approved and the material color has been selected. We provide a 3 to 5 days turnaround from the time of templating to final installation as long as no unforeseen complications arise.

5. Installation Process

The majority of home installation jobs range from a couple of hours to a full business day. While any project involves some dust, natural stone installation is fairly painless because most of the cutting and polishing is done in our plant not in your home. Your inspection of the finished job is very important. The lead installer will review the installation with you, answer any questions you may have and collect payment of the final balance due. All work we perform is custom from start to finish and we strive to ensure your complete satisfaction.
On day of Installation:

  • Create a clear path through the home for easy access to the installation area.
  • Cover floors along this path.
  • Remove all items from cabinets.
  • Move all breakables, such as lamps, vases, mirrors, wall hangings, antiques or other valuables from areas affected by installation work.
